I've spoken to many RFD's and they have all told me different things! So ideally 'long time' users of HMR's will give the best advice but i'm open to anyone who has guidance on this poll. Mr_Logic 5 Posted February 23, 2009 Report Share Posted February 23, 2009 Most times it goes out it gets a boresnake through it, but a thorough clean is quite rare because I find .17 so small that it's a pain, so I only do it when necessary! Quote Link to post
weejohn 3 Posted February 23, 2009 Report Share Posted February 23, 2009 i am not a long time user of the hmr (only fired around 200 rounds through it) but i did give it a good clean last week with the rod , patches, brush, forest bore foam i done this 3 times letting the bore foam soak overnight and there was loads of the copper fouling removed so from now on i will use the rod on it after 50 or so shots. i have yet to try it on a target to see if the good clean has made a difference. The instructions say;"put it in a wash bag" etc Can't see the missus agreeing to this so guess it's s flush round in fairy till the water stays green?? Quote Link to post
