Guest sushie
Whatever plummer was,he has had the last laugh! I personally think he was very inteligent and far sighted. Whenever you get someone who becomes famous and makes a bit of money you get alot of jealousy! Quote Link to post

Stabs 3
Oh FFS do you us a favour will you!!!! Jealous of a glorified tramp??....Oh yes , sounds about right.A tramp that respected his beloved K9's less than pigs the way he kept them. Most people hate the fecker because of the way he went 'turncoat' when he could'nt get the glorification he thought he ALWAYS deserved. It eat away at him that most real terrier owners knew what a fraud he was.And he used the sporting press at every oppertuntity to spread his sad , vile opinions....He was worse than any anti for terrier work. And as I said before , the lousy , scab , turncoat , anti opiniated F****R is rotting away in the best place where he can do the least damage. Jealous !!..... . Oh and don't worry , I know several of you here are posting favourable posts in his memory just to see the rest of us blow a fuse......I'm not stupid , but I dislike any reference to him so much I sometimes take the bait . Thats just about spot on fella... ............Carreg Yep....spot on Quote Link to post

Squirrel_Basher 17,102
Seriously now-To say he did more good than harm is a lie.Someone said before that at the time his books were being turned out ,we had little or nothing else to compare it to .As a young lad I WAS TAKEN IN BY IT AND THOUGHT WHAT A GREAT BLOKE THIS WAS .The basis of his stories were truth but broadened to fill a book and most were not of his own experiences. This was explained to me some years ago by a bloke who writes regular in E.D.R.D .Several of plummers aquaintances noticed snippets of there own hunting ventures in his books, which he blatantly denied ,and many distanced themselves from him because of this .It was also said to me that he was not a man of his word and owed a lot of money for various things which served to drive him to push out puppies to get money and write more stories.Im now older and a bit wiser and resent him for trying to be someone he was not .
