glad your happy with them lads :D:D i know what you mean about the screaming though, i took the mother away from them today and they screamed the place down for a little while, all 3 of them :D:D .

i took the mother and the other bitch out today local just to stretch there legs, but they decided to turn a simple walk into a full on hunt :D putting a pair out of a big gorse patch and putting 1 to ground in an old land drain which i left for next season :) the mother to the pups was extra keen though today after having a bit of time off to raise her pups ;)

millet most people work them in packs, but i only work 2 and when one had the pups i still took the other and she worked just aswell imo :)

peg, he's certainly changed a bit since this pic (he's on the left) the other is the dog i've kept ;)

found with the teckel cross, she has that good a nose she needed little encouragement,

although she did learn to some extent from the spaniel, however she has now surpassed the spaniel and has flushed countless rabbits, a handful of foxes and several muntjac (she even had hold of one muntjac in bramble and got a cut on her neck from the ensuing fight  the munty escaped :( )

I would say a hound or two can be as much fun as a small pack, but with only small numbers of hounds you wont make any (or very few) kills, where as a pack can and will account for game by themselves without a gun or running dog in tow

forgot to say, nice looking pups :D

I have a plan, get more teckels then the munty would have been fecked :D they often do sit tight until the last minute and i beleive thats because most pet dogs would just walk on by with out realising what was there  whereas a dog/hound used to hunting by scent would locate it :D

if i had 4 teckels (which i may have in time  ) things like that munty would have accidentally paid the price whilst i was bushing rabbits  i guess as a small pack (of whatever Beagles/PBGV's/Teckels etc...) 4 would be the minimum number to start catching in any numbers worth mentioning?

dont you think that the hounds should be kept in a pack and not in one or twos or maybe threes ! is this style of hunting a trend adopted from the yanks ? a bloody fars if you ask me not meaning to upset enyone , but it seem some folks are going to extreams to prove that they are hunters ie dog men what ever you want to call yourself , i wouldnt two face yous and call you nothing other than messer to your face .............

In case you haven't realized the law states two hounds ( 1 couple) to flush cover :realmad: When you do alot of your hunting either alone or with just two of you then a couple of well trained dogs that work cover are a god send IMO.

so i take it you can run fast as f**k :tongue2:
