Guest diesel
J.Darcy is it true about you hunting in Yorkshire, you and a farmer came a cross a sheep with its head stuck in a fence , so the farmer droped his trousers and gave the sheep one , he then asked you if you wanted a go, next thing he knew you where on all 4's with your head in that fence Quote Link to post
longdog 0
a good dig for sure! Here in Colorado, we were on badgers 5 different times this past season with a combination of Russells and Fells. They always managed to give us the slip. Hats off to anyone that manages to get caught up to one here in the states. Mike Quote Link to post
Guest Haggler
Some good photos there Haggler. Make sure you take the camera and give a report when you catch up with mummy and daddy .[/b] For sure, the camera is the first thing in the rig, got to have something to look at when I'm sitting in the rest home. I've seen the bad boys rip up the good dogs in the U.K. and have no worries for my dogs here. If they take stick they take stick. When you stick in your thumb and you pull out a plumb there is no way to know just how big that plumb is going to be is there? Mom and Dad may well be on prime time soon as I don't think the soil in the hills we are in will allow them to "swim". Time will tell. I didn't put the post up because I thought my buddy and I had the baddest of the bad Patts or we knew what we were doing when it came to badgers in America, we have spent thousands of dollars flying back east to hunt quarry over the last 14 years and just happened to stumble on these critters in our backyard. Go figure? I had a bitch killed by a raccoon under ground, a bitch ripped up big time by a pair of fox in the ground and another good little bitch worked over big time by a groundhog in the ground so I'm not living in a fantasyland about what the dogs might encounter on this sheep ranch. I have a great vet that asks no questions and a shovel that can dig a grave just as easily as a critter in the ground so lets just see what plays out. Haggler Quote Link to post
