Pops 19
had several missed runs. then Sonic jumped the truck as i was stopping by work. 150 yd run. 20# boar coon. a tremendous fight (coon broke 2 teeth & split both of the dog's ears), it was so hard that when i skinned it the carcass looked like it had been pounded w/a claw hammer (the claw side). Pops 19
coons also carry distemper so i am damn picky about keeping him upto date on his shots and yeah it's a bit of fun especially when old rocky charges after you. good thing Sonic was fast enough to snatch him up again before i got the fangs. victor 10
and sonic delt with it all him self, thay look tough b*****ds? if so bravo do you know how many before he's taken? Quote Link to post
Pops 19
this was #3 that he's killed. he's also sight treed about a dozen more. but i rarely carry a gun and even if i do i probably won't shoot anything. he's a lot tougher than he looks. in fact if you met him & didn't know he was a killing machine you'd likely never guess because he's so soft. Pops 19
Adam coons were one of the reasons people imported real terriers from over there. the only working baddys i know of (thanks to a fella here) are in North Carolina just a few hours drive from me. also within relatively close reach are good patterdales & borders. coon is a major game for them. ETA anyone coming by NC let me know and i'll be glad to have knowledgeable company running my boy. i need all the teaching i can get. Edited February 4, 2009 by Pops Quote Link to post
