i know theres a lost and found kay ,but i dont think it,s in your face enough.

personally i never would think about looking in the lost and found unless i,d lost something.

what i think we need is pictures of stolen dogs say(stolen in last 3 months) on a page of somsort come on our screens when we log on,hence we see them regularly and might remember a picture better

I think we should pay way more attention to WHOS steeling the dogs..For f**k sake somone must know who is steeling them where they end up etc etc... as hunting is close in this day an age everyone knows everyone some how we ar all linked... so why not start by naming lads who people know for a FACT have stolen dogs from people... And get the peaces to the thiefing puzzle added up.. as there has to be an end to this shit... somone somwhere knows and id love to know who..

like drug dealers, its the people who buy the drugs who feed the business. every dog thats stolen ends up being bought by someone some where. dont buy dog of anyone unless you know its 100% sound.

I dont want people to think I dont do anything else but if you put them on DOGLOST, www.doglost.co.uk from there lots of people cross post them onto other forums. We have weekly slot in Countrymans Weekly & now Dogs Today.

There's a lot goes on away from public eye, we have contacts with police, dog wardens, traveller liason officers & lots more. As you know yourselves what you dont want people to know you dont broadcast on a public site.

Some dogs can & will end up in the pound- dumped, found, escaped for whatever reason. We have a lot of members that trawl through the pound websites & newspapers to match up dogs. Dont get me wrong we cant get them all back but we can & do get some back.

I've been crossposting all the missing dogs from here onto the private co-ordinators forum, thats ok but it doesnt get them dogs in peoples faces. I will help where I can but what I would say is take regular photos of your dogs, note any distinguishing features, microchip & tattoo & castrate/spay.

A lot of them are taken to breed, if you dont want your dog to breed-reduce the risk of some one else taking it.

You cant have your kennels like fort knox but take sensible precautions-

If I can help with missing dogs etc I will do, but agree the theives need finding & shooting
