IanB 0
Fox Facts The gestation period for fox is 53 days just under two month. Most Cubs are born on average around mid March and are blind for the first 10-14 days. A typical litter size is 4 to 6 cubs although vixens have been known to carry up to 12 embryos. A single litter of cubs may be the result of he vixen mating with up to four or more dog foxes. Weaning begins at 4 weeks old and by 5-6 weeks old the cubs will begin to come above ground. The cubs develop their milk teeth by 7-8 weeks and become independant by 3-5 month old. If you clear out one family of foxes another may move in, so be vigilant. Quote Link to post

swanseajack 228
If you net every hole, the one that you didn't see is the one that the fox comes out of !! The fish syndrome, the one that got away was the biggest wolf like fox you ever did see.. It'll always be the smallest vixen in the tighest hole that will do the most damage to your terrier... there will never be scent on a fox if you've got visitors..... all guarateed earths will be empty if you promise someone a dig........ If you take a tail of one, and put it in your pocket you're guaranteed to forget about it and it will stink to high hell next time you put that coat on... Quote Link to post

Foxes leave scent trails from glands in there feet, so to all you guys that take pictures of your trophy standing holding it by its back feet, BEWARE !!! thats why your misses is always complaining that you stink LOL hold it by the end of its tail.
