John-B 4
Why are they so expensive??? I'm dying to get hold of a locator box and collar but just can't justify the price of them when i can get a mk3 box and collar cheaper Quote Link to post
Halfinch 51
Why do you want one? Get the mk3 it's a better product. Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
They are expencive because Deben have the monopoly on the locators, they are a lot of money, but I shelled out for one because I like them, I enjoy using them, and they are a good extra to carry, and I think I'll get my money's worth out of it, did'nt like the MK2's, but the MK3's are really good. John-B 4
Why do you want one?Get the mk3 it's a better product. I have always used mk1 locators, before i packed in quite a few years back i had a few of them, i've heard mixed reactions about the mk3, maybe a little scared of something new i guess. stealthy1 3,964
Don't worry about the moaners, the MK3 is a sound peice of kit, what the moaners don't understand is you have to use them differently, if you use a MK3 like a MK1, then you'll not get the full benifit from the new technology invested in the MK3, ask anyone with a MK1 and they will slag of the MK3, ask anyone who's had a MK3 for any length of time and they'll tell you they are happy with them.
