oyama 27
Depends where we are,but let vixens go February on wards,as long as they are healthy to do so. Quote Link to post
Tassa 64
Always let vixens run from February onwards. On average i would only get one maybe two digs a week. Its not the terriermen that are doing the damage. Roadside riflemen are on the roads every night taking big numbers killing for killings sake. This year it seems to be very popular around the north and i know a lot of lads not getting the numbers they were getting in past seasons. A real shame..... Quote Link to post
BBB 7
i dont do so much digging nowadays. but back in the day we killed most. there was a lot of lads at it back then . all used to kill em . everyone was basically checkin the same spots , so chances were high if you didnt kill it someone you probably knew would we used to let the odd vixen run if we could . but at that time we were using very hard dogs and most foxes were not fit to let go. but we were among the few who let the odd one run on for another day back then all the lad's would tell you they been out and had a do , but all would lie about were they had been get there action . we were no different either. Guest miller1989
Usually we like to bolt at this time of year,to the nets, most of the are dog foxes and need to be dealt with, vixens are always hard to get a bolt,if so its let run! But if its stays in there to long and we start to dig usually terrier kills in the earth because he can here us comming! No vixens, means no cubs! Results no sport! Quote Link to post
paddy31 120
We alway let them run as my view is that there is enough lads out there with rifles :realmad: killing all before them and i don't need to be adding to that kill all the foxes and all you end up doing is killing your sport.. P.s if the farmer is on the job you must do as he wishes after all the land owner are your breed and butter... Quote Link to post
