xx-georgia-xx 15
well just wanted to liven the place up abit and ask you all ladys and gentalman about your dogs from the past the best workers showdogs best friends lets here about there stories and your bond with them... well ill start there was a dog called jack caught rabbits for fun and retrieved brill! i loved that dog he was like the brother i never had (i do have a brother but hes a twat) jack would have this look a special look witch was walming at the skin i really did love him but he was massive and sometimes when where heading out he wanted to sit on my lap but i got squished but for some reason i dident mind if he was covered in mud or blood i still laid down with him, until last april, he wasn't the old jack anymore one night he tried to climb the kennel fell and broke his back leg took him to the vet and he said he can fix it but he will never run the same again it was a hard choice for me and chris to take but we had him put down, i couldn't eat or sleep all the time all i could think of is jack.. my best friend jacky boy... we still have a part of him here we have mac (his son) but i still see him in my dreams killing anything we want to just like jack wanted all the best georgia x

Born Hunter 17,960
Not a dog of the past but when you were talking about the bond you had with your jack it reminded me of my mates black patt. Farm bred 2nd generation patt x lakie that threw heavily to the patt side of things, smooth dog he is. Anyway i used to spend alot of time on my mates farm with him shooting and what have you and becuase of that i have known pete (the dog) since he was a few days old. Ever since he was probably about 10 months old he started to really bond with me and when i say that i mean more so than his owners, even they noticed and regularly comment on it. Im not entirely sure why but he just really bonded with me, if theres ever a stressful situation (like alot of strangers about, becuase he really is weary of people) he comes over to me and either stands behind me or if im sat down will literally sit on my feet, i guess he feels secure in my presence, i dunno. Hes not a woking bred terrier, just farm dog but is my sort of terrier, fiery when working but calm and quiet generally. Although im in no position to have a dog right now if offered him i would make it so i was. Dont get round there as often as i used to with beeing at uni and everyweekend beeing out hunting of some form, but when i do he goes crackers and is happy as f**k to see me, then when i go watches me leave at the end of the drive. Not usually one for talking bit 'soppy' bowt dogs, but that dog really means summats to me. Given the chance i would test the little tyke and give him a hell of a workng life. Jesus i can waffle when i get goin, lol Edited January 22, 2009 by Born Hunter

Hollie 21
I rehomed a Lurcher from the dogs Trust when i left home, i'm pretty sure he was ColliexGeryhound with GSD in there aswell, he looked like a typical Collie/Greyhond mix with these huge GSD ears, he was great, awesome on the hare, protective, loyal, trustworthy and a complete and utter clown. I was driving on a country road late one night when a car appeared behind me flashing its lights, 1st thing i did was lock the doors, when i pulled up at a junction the bloke jumped out of his car and came running up to my window, i opened my window a fraction and Ben (Lurcher) went absolutly insane, snarling and frothing at the mouth trying to get to this guy, i had never seen this side to him but he clearly sensed something about this bloke that he didn't like, what ever the bloke had in mind didn't esculate because Ben scared the shit out of him and he got back in his car LOL, when me and my b/f split i had to leave Ben with him but i still think about him 7 years on. I have had other dogs since but i haven't had the same connection with any of them until now with my pup Kylo Edited January 24, 2009 by Hollie
