Good morning out again!

Me and my mate took a trip to kent today for a bit of ferreting. Had to leave Tyla at home as she still has stitches from her most recent injury :wallbash: but had Parker who is coming on better every trip.

First two buries were right under a blackthorn bush and produced four bolters and two dug to. Had to leave one behind as the tiny jill killed it under the trunk about 5 foot down and we just couldnt get through the roots.

The amount of thorns we got doing those two sets put us off purse nets so the next two were longnet only. First set produced two straight into the net but I dropped one while trying to disentangle the other :icon_redface: The last one was a great bit of sport, bolted five into the long net. All the ferrets were working well, Parker was very good although maybe a bit too enthusiastic at times.

We were finished by 1pm and then had a wander with the shots guns, a got 2 rabbuts with the 20bore and we both missed the same duck and a pigeon. I think I will use the shotguns more often as i enjoyed it alot

Over all a very good day :D

nice to see your getting out a fair bit ,whats your dog done to its self hope its not to bad regards phill. ps are you going down to the night with the experts at fareham

Out most weekends. Tyla half tore off her stopper pad, nearly healed now though. Shes had a crap season, spent half of it injured she seems to be very accident prone but otherwise shes coming on well. Parker is turning into a dog ferreting dog too but he is still young.

Whats the night with the experts? Sounds interesting and fareham is not far?
