Guest hyperion
Hype, I suggest you get the course manual for your DSC well in advance There is alot to learn.. When you come to do the training and the exam, it will put the final blocks in to position.David Stretton writes a good manual you should get it, or an equivalent when you register. I could have sent you mine, but theres a waiting list for it and its a bit out of date now. If you need any help with it let me know. On the other course front... I did a degree in Rural Management in 1990, and I've just given my text books away to a girl from work who's about to start.. or you could have had them as well. Best of luck to you. Matty your a fat lot of good aint ya! lol! ive got some much to do over the next few weeks with phone calls and booking taster days ect
Guest hyperion
i went there and had the time of my life...did the countryside management....better than the keepering course...both do 90% of the same modules, but the countryside management one is more broad, which is better in the long run when looking for work looking for work again and it aint no easy task in the countryside im thinking id rather do countryside management! When i was there we did the DSC1 as part of the deer management module, so call up and see if they still do it as part of the countryside management course before you splash out money for it. The gamekeeping course is very specific which is good if you know you want to do gamekeeping, but is pretty pointless in my eyes as i found you cant get a keepering job unless you have the experience, so the qualification is worthless
