Sterry 0
i have a spanish made 3 shot .410 bolt action. and the lil hook like thing that drags the empty cartridges out to be ejected has sheered off or somthing or other. would it be possible to repair this between my uuncle and myself we're pretty handy on the metal work front. i was thinking about making it up out of mild steel then weld or braze it on to what remains of the arm. has anyone done something like this on a rifle or shotgun (im pretty sure it a modified rifle bolt) and any advice. it seems bit of a shame just to not use this as before it was my first gun and knocked bolting rabbits like anything Quote Link to post

comanche 3,298
No-one know anything bout this sort of thing? Anything you try yourself has to obviously be safe (Don't mean to insult you by saying that .I've welded a few springs and made the missing bits for my old 410's folding mechanism so I know the temptations. ) . My first stop would actually be a gunshop ,especially one that takes repairs . They may well tell you that itwould be too costly to fabricate a new part but many gunshops have stocks of old or broken guns they keep for spares and may even be able to track a part for you via their contacts . Good luck Edited January 11, 2009 by comanche Quote Link to post
