milldots on scope

do many people use the milldots for range finding or do you just use the hold over under , whats the best way to get the hang of this at differant ranges, any tips would be verry helpful,

I use my AO to range find and have the hold under/over written on a sticky label on the the AO. Then you just read It off the scope and shoot. Piece of piss

Each manufacturer has it's own take on Mil Dots but on most scopes you will only find them suitable to "range" on 10X!

 

Answer to your question is simply practice...all my scopes are mill dot and I like them but a lot of other Christmas Trees etc, etc, use exactly the same principle but simply use lines!!
