more of the same

out again this morning on another patch just up from yesterday's session.

a bit frustrating at first as we (the dogs and I) had to cross a 2 fields of heavy plow, then the set I intended to ferret was a bit of a swine to net up and to start with 2 of the ferrets seemed to be messing around in and out without hunting deeper.

after a few re-entries I entered the 3rd and they got their act together staying down for a while, there was plenty of thumping as the rabbits gave the ferrets the run around then the first one bolted, netted and dispatched we at least had the one.

The final tally was 7 for the morning, which I was pleased about as I wouldn't have wanted to carry any more along with the rest of the kit across those bloody plowed fields!

roughly 5 were lost due to not having enough nets to cover the whole set, I figured I would have had to go back to the landy for about another 25-30 nets and I wasn't about to do that. Also I could have done with another couple of ferrets in at the same time coming from diferent directions to prevent the rabbits just giving the ferrets the run around,

didn't get an "end of day" pic, it slipped my mind by the time I'd lifted the 50 or so nets, gutted the rabbits and thought about the walk back to the landy,

an enjoyable morning over all...

all the best
