Doglost Co-Ordinator 4
My alsation/grey used to chuck up within 10mins of being in the car. Tried ginger biscuits, travel tablets- dont work. I stopped feeding him before we travelled but thats not really practical for you as they're working. Blacking out the back window worked treat, if he cant see out he dont throw up. increasing the journey time will help. He's now ok & dont chuck at all- seems to have grown out of it. YOKEL 2,362
never tried them myself but someone once told me tums work. short trips often will get them used to it, also sit the dog in the front with you for a few trips makes them less nervy. re: the above. "I stopped feeding him before we travelled but thats not really practical for you as they're working." don't get this, i would'nt feed a dog before working, hardly gonna run his best with a full belly. Try this several times, maybe giving her a treat to get her to associate the car with "good times." HTH. Cheers, D.
Doglost Co-Ordinator 4
My dogs dont work - I could set off on long journey without having to feed him. We go up to Scotland & he used to throw up 10 mins away from home if he'd had brekkie or we left early. Stopped feeding him until we got there & he stopped chucking up. As I dont work my dogs i'm not 100% who does what with regards to feeding- common sense tells me not to feed before they go out to work. He's only sick normally when he staes out the back window. Ginger biscuits dont work at all- best eating them yourself

Attatch small chain to bumper of car so that it touches the road, the sound of the chain seems to work for some.Sounds bloody barmy but it does work for some dogs.
