A morning walk with the airgun..

Recommended Posts

Got up about 6:20 this mornign so went for a walk with scoob. We got near several bunnies but none offered a shot so we enjoyed the morning. the robins were singing and cock chaffys were everywhere. I spotted a winged mallard and decided it needed putting out of its misery looked like it had hit pwerlines or something like that. scoob went in like a lab, and boy was it cold :cry::cry::cry::cry: , but he did a good retrive. the mallard was defintely injured when i took it off scoob as it looked to have a broken wing. At least i can rest in the fact that it suffered no longer. after a long walk i spotted a pair of woodies in an old scots pine and shot one, bringing it down in some bramble, scoob brought it back and i decided to call it a day. there was very little about, i think i may have been too efficient last year when i really hammered the squirrels. Just as we were going onto the footpath i caught sight of a white blob and called scoob before he saw it. it was a last years roe doe, and a very lucky one at that!!! If the dog had have been another twenty yards ahead then it woudl have been curtains for the roe. :o lucky for the deer that i spooted it first... good hunting guys/. :good::good:

Good post and pics.

Just got home with the dogs to find the RSPCA had been a calling.

Apparently their opening line was, "Do you think people who shoot animals are evil?"

Needless to say they were told to shut the gate behind them on their way out.

Lets hope its the first and last visit as i can do without them making repeat calls.

Good hunting all :good:
