bigjedd 0
Hi guys I am new to this forum and hope to get some valued information from you people about various subjects. A bit about myself . I have been hunting for43 years now starting out with a 22lr and hunting mainly rabbits, I moved on to a 243w and hunting pigs and goats and varmiting at long range. For most of the last 15 years I have been concentrating on Deer hunting in particular the indian deeer cervus unicolor also know as the mighty Sambar. I have owned a miriad of firearms in my time all of which I have reloaded for ecept of course the 22lr. Starting with the humble 22lr I have owned 17rem, 222, 5.6x50mag, 243w,303/25, 303/270,2506,308, 6.5x55, 270, 4 different 30/06's 300wsm,338rcm,375ruger a sprinkling of 12gauge shotguns in auto single barrel and o/u, My current arsenal consists of 22lr,17rem, 5.6x50mag,25/06,30/06,300wsm,338rcm,and375ruger. and an o/u 12gauge for sporting clays shooting. My go to rifle for hunting sambar is the 338rcm and for varmiting it is the 5.6x50mag. I hope to add to my arsenel soon but am just tinkering with what calibre it will be. Maybe a specialist deer caliber like the 260rem. or a specialist long range varmiting calibre. Time will tell but I will be looking for advice when I get close to the time to purchase. cheers BJ
