What about disease , will the buck be screened before allowing it near your doe

The does are all vaccinated against myxi. this imunity should travel through to the offspring .

Take a look at the gamekeeping and conservation section under rabbit rearing

No immunity will be passed on through the vaccination process, it never is. Only genetic make up will do this.

br? what do you mean br

they are asking, if you are "bull russell" from jack's shed forum, I think you are, as firstly, if you wer'nt, then why not ask all these questions on that forum, rather than starting an identical one on this forum,

secondly, a picture, posted by "bullrussell" is also now posted by yourself, saying that its you set up :hmm:

if I remember rightly, a now banned member, was asking identical questions, in an identical post, only a month or so ago

I got this idea from a topic on the jacksshed forum by a guy with the username bull russell. he emaild me the photos of the rabbit pens a while back so i said I would put them up here to give people who are interested in rearing a look.

The jacksshed forum is a very small forum compared to this so i thought the topic would do better here, as it was getting no response there.

I personally think this rearing is a good idea for lads that own their own land or have permission to release on ground that has no rabbits for miles around. It is not my intention to cause harm on this forum or out in the field ;)

Thanks lads

Good luck with it, hope it goes to plan for you by the way. You may want more than the odd buck just in case, and i'd just try releasing wildies in the area (and keep it quiet) without breeding them all in captivity. And try to keep people off them for a few seasons
