got to play this one with a cool long head.if you goin all guns blazin then you have to have some real frighteners with you with the wilkinsons freshly stropped or you,ve no chance, his pride wont give you your dog back , he may even kill it in front of you or after your gone, then also its a form of currency to him if you use the softly softly approach and take the kids and barter with him for a while try swapping or dealing something his way then you will stand a better chance of getting the dog back unharmed.tell him it was you dead brothers dog or something to play on his conciance.... or just sneak in and steal it back but he might not be the one that took it as he,s wandering roud your area with it.personally id barter with him to get it back.

Aye trade the motherinlaw for the dog.... nice one, everyone a winner.... Gies the guys address, I'll sort him out.... I'll give him the old one, three.... :boxing: He'll think he's surrounded... I'll even throw in a free burial but you'll need to be quick.... graves aren't cheap near christmas..... :gunsmilie::gunsmilie::gunsmilie:

unfortunately i cant play it cool, i have a short fuse at the moments with xmas and various other things happening.

problem with it being travellers is that ive had family fueds with them before and it aint fun but on the other hand i do know a couple of big lads from a different family of travellers which i could try and use to persuade the lads.

im thinking if all else fails it'll be on with the balaclava's (i look like a member of the IRA in it :gunsmilie: ) and taking a few friends round.

either way ill keep you informed, cheers

ben

Its a pity you dont live in Ireland because if theres one thing travellers are scared of its the IRA. A few years back A Family of travellers were taken out of their houses in the middle of the night and tared and feathered in the middle of the street b*ll*ck naked because they wer causing awful trouble in the town and a local IRA politition ordered something to be done about it. Anyway a few years later a mate of mines dog was stolen and he found out it was travellers. He simply approached the travellers and said If the dog isnt in my property in twenty four hours you and your wife will be tared and feathered and dont think you can run because as you know our organisation has eyes all over ireland and the uk. The dog was tied to a tree outside his door the next morning and thats a true story. I reckon You get a few heavies knock on the door with balaclavas and say your piece. in the thickest Irish accents you can mannage. bring a good twenty men.

where not all hard c**ts but i would rather fight someone than watch them walk my dog day in day out & do nothing about it. if i got sh*t knocked out of me then tuff i would go & pinch the dog back & burn his caravan becouse you cant let people take the mick out of you & if walking your dog around the area it was stolen from isnt tacking the piss then what is.

In the last few days my partner has seen my old lurcher which was stolen a year a go. he was stolen when travellers came through the village, along with several other dogs, she has seen him just a couple of streets up from were i now live and she stopped the guy to ask for the time so she could start chatting with him, apparently he's a traveller which is staying in darlington for the xmas period only then he'll be moving on in a couple of weeks. my dog is easily recognisable but unfortunately he wasn't microchipped although i know the owner of both parents and also most of the siblings of my lurcher, what im asking is what do people think i should do, either way im getting my dog back but i have reservations about going to the police due to the fact the traveller will either sell the dog on or just move on early (or as in most cases the police will just dismiss it)

Basically im asking how people think i should go about getting my dog back?

You want to stop talking about it on an open forum and sort it out asap..;-)
