mad al 146
yeh, talented fella, what really pissed me off though was listening to the radio driving home lunchtime and Jeremy Vine described him as "that man who gave us Bagpuss" , he'd have been better off saying nowt As you say there's nothing as original or creative like that about anymore

fireman 11,456
Those programes did my head in as a kid, that welsh voice on ivor? and a crap programe about a fat cat and the dooo dooooo dooooo dooooooooo doooo doo of the clangers ???? what was that all about?.Give me hartly hare and finger mouse any time and even george and bungo had better personalities than bag puss.Sad loss to some folk though and not mocking the dead here.Still better than horrid henry which the kids seem to like, why do they grow up to be little buggers these days i wonder?. Geoff.C 0
yeh, talented fella, what really pissed me off though was listening to the radio driving home lunchtime and Jeremy Vine described him as "that man who gave us Bagpuss" , he'd have been better off saying nowt As you say there's nothing as original or creative like that about anymore Jeremy Vine frequently annoys me with his opinions and silly questions. In this case though, he was probably saying the right thing. Although only 13 episodes of Bagpuss were made from 1974, he was voted this year as Britain's best loved children's character!! Not bad for a "saggy old cloth cat" as he was described.
