mad al 146
What if? you're driving along in the dark, flashing blue lights loom up behind, you pull over and you're told that some thing like your indicator/brake/lights don't work. OK it's a fair cop....................documents, oops you don't carry them with ya , no problemmo, get the fault sorted, sign here and produce the necessary at your local nick in seven days..........sorted. Is it? Your local is only manned on a part time basis, you fail to arrange a visit as they're busy , you take all your stuff to the next nick, get it sorted, job done Is it? The original "pull" could have been say seventy miles away, "now", could be six months later, you could get a letter from another nick, say fifty miles away, inside could be a summons to attend court that could be, say sixty miles away in, say seven days. The charges. The faulty car bits, no insurance, no MOT, no licence etc etc etc. but, but, but, but you failed to arrange a time as they were too busy but, but, but, but you took the necessary to another nick Did anybody attempt to talk to anybody else or check any records/data bases?...............................YES!!!!!! , no docs produced at your local nick within the allocated time Any other records in any other nicks?..................................... Good job you'd ave it all then if it ever happened that is, but surely not with our super efficient authorities, surely not What if though? can you just imagine the cost of just one little error that surely they would never make So what if? You still have to appear in court to explain something that isn't your mistake in the first place imagine all the time money and effort that could go into producing the summons of, say twenty pages, postage etc. wouldn't that be so far fetched and unbelievable to be true and such a waste of our Council Tax
