klarakoi 0
Hi everyone, I thought you may like to see my little collection and a breathe on the mods and power out puts, so IL start here with my Gamo Whisper .177 this one I de tuned for a better feel and and to get rid of the twang, changed the spring for a maccari tarantula R9 and spaced it with three washers and replaced theseal with a new Tesla seal, filled the stock with silver sand then sealed it with expanding foam, this not only gives more weight but helps muffle the twang, degreased the cylinder mirror polished the piston and secured the top hat, relubed using moly grease and a smidge of silicon oil just on the back of the seal, this Rifle now shoots at 14.5 FPE and no twang and really accurate, The second tune is on a factory QB78 that I got sent over from BAR in Blackpool for 50.00 got my bits from the USA refinished the stock to look more like a little sporter and invested in a bulk fill system, She now does 13FPE and does one holers at 25 yards, well Ive got some of my other more powerful Rifles to show you and IL do that tomorrow, All the best, Rob, I hope I'm not infringing on forum policy, by showing you my Rifles, if I am please advise and it wont happen again,, Rob. klarakoi 0
welcome the thl. you will find this a very helpful and imformative site. hope those guns are on a fac Thanks for the welcome, no FAC but I live in Spain so not required, the legal limit here is 18 FPE but the shops sell rifles with more power than that, We are not allowed to shot any animals in Spain with air rifles so there used mainly for paper punching, however I do get to France and Portugal a few times a year then I have a good shoot up, here's another one of my little mods, this is a Brocock Hunter in.22 that as been tuned to 18FPE, although it can do more, the original 17" barrel as been replaced with a 24" one and the stock refinished, it shoots unbelievably good, and I think looks a lot better than the original, let me know what you think of the mods, all the best, Rob.
