flashing leds for exercising dogs at night.

Can anyone recommend some decent ones. The last ones I bought were about a fiver each and rubbish. They have packed up after not much use and I want to exercise the dogs in the dark.

I use joggers arm bands. Got mine at Aldi but I've seen them on line for a decent price and you get a few in a pack.

we've gotten flashing dog collars from Walmart and Aldi, one was crap but the others have all been good and going on the third year with only a new battery needed here and there. They were between 9-17 dollars

They're economical on batteries- unlike a lot of the others, and durable.

We use they little keyring torches. They have led lights & can be turned on/off. 've had flashing collars that have packed in really quick but they LED ones are spot on. Buy them off Ebay 20 at a time ( use them on the rescue dogs as well)

Got different colours as well.

i have used a harness with a small flashing led bike light attached works wonders cheap too

i use reflective waistcoats, bright yellow, while they also are wearing a helmet with destress flares attached,if that fails i try and train them to come back to the whistle

If you take a reflextive cover off of a big road cone,and trim it down and then put a bit of velcro on the ends it makes a perfect reflective collar and it is lightweight as well...............oh and free!!!!..........martin.

Also do you think I should make the reflective waistcoats out of the stuff that racing drivers wear? I thought it might help avoid any possible singeing.

 

I had considered triaining them to come back, but your idea does seem a lot less work.

They look brilliant, I particularly like the one that has enough umph to lift the dog vertically 50m and then deploys the starburst and parachute. It will be great waiting for the dog to float back down to earth into my waiting arms.

 

I don't know why I've never heard of these before. Just need to ensure the dog is clear of the woods...

I went into Wilkos at the weekend, but they were charging 9.95 for the head lamps. I got distracted by grass seed and forgot to look at the cycle lights.

 

Problem is the lights are for a small border and a young lurcher, I am worried they will get whip lash if the lights are too big

 

Anyone got any other recommendations/links, I do take you seriously I just found Traders comments amusing..
