Out yesterday on some land and the first thing I saw on arrival was a Heron strolling around the chickens pen, turns out after talking to the owner later in the day the Heron is out Ratting!!!! The Heron has only just turned up but is known at the neighbours land for the same thing....apparently grabs the rat and heads over to the pond to drown it, then..down the throat!! This Heron is some animal.....it also squares up the the owners Jack Russell by spreading it wings making a sort of hissing sound and charging...... This is all new to me..never heard of a Heron like this before!!! Quote Link to post Share on other sites
