Saves on digging, rabbits and lost ferrets. To find a ferret wearing a bell it was a combination of the bar and your ear. Simple as that. My ferrets used to stay with a blocked rabbit a lot longer than a dead one, as a result I've no doubt we left dead rabbits behind us. Something that doesn't happen with the locator. TBH we just use the locators for locating, and only if we have to, dig. I have been working a strain of ferrets that are good with killing and leaving. so we obviously leave a couple in the burrow but it doesnt really matter unless its slowing the day down Quote Link to post
