Deker 3,491
Out for a stroll with foxdropper Saturday on some cracking Wiltshire countryside, loads of Hare about (you have to forgive me for getting excited, but never see them in Berkshire), few bunnies and deer and a handful of foxes. We were lucky with the weather, a little gusty at times and a hint of drizzle but on the whole a dry, mild and clearish night! Half hour in and one ran at us like an express train to the call, but I think it caught my Bipod click and just seemed to disappear! We caught fleeting glimpses of one or two more and then foxdropper saw another which he called, and I just managed to get a shot off as he paused. Not my best shot ever and as I was about to let go another my trusty Tikka T3 Lite jammed. Never happened before, 2 cartridges locked together in the breech, neither up the spout and neither wanting to budge, took me and foxdropper what seemed like half an hour to clear, actually probably 4 or 5 minutes! My thanks indeed to foxdropper, not only for the invite but for being a top guy as well, always good to talk and learn with a gent! ...and its a T3 Lite Stainless .223, with Predator 8 Compact, JSR Scope, Deben Max Pro, Harris 11-25 Swivel, etc.....and I'm still thinking about getting the barrel cut down to help improve the balance! oh yes... the other thing in the picture is a very recently deceased Dog!! Many thanks to foxdropper again for a very pleasant few hours!! Deker Edited November 17, 2008 by Deker Quote Link to post

It's great to share it with good friends. And even better with something in the bag! You seemed to enjoy yourself Deker. A good night had! Keep at it both and nice one FD. SS Quote Link to post
