Tiff 36
I'm visiting my kids in Santa Barbara this weekend and thought I'd share some pics, thankfully the people I know personally are okay although my sister's coworker lost her home, and several of my old clients as well, and a friend lost a barn with 7 imported Arabians and a couple of foals. It looks like a war zone as you drive through. Makes you thankful! ps I didn't take the pics Edited November 15, 2008 by His Wife

Tiff 36
The air quality right now is terrible, we were supposed to camp up in the mountains about 20 miles from the fires but the high wind and unsure nature of the beast made me decide to stay at a hotel closer to Los Angeles. And then last night 2 different fires sparked closer to the hotels than our original place, I thought I was planning smart but oh well! The saddest loss to me is the Mount Calvary Monastary (second to last picture), my mom spent time there recovering from some medical procedures and it was of great comfort to her at that time. Guest JohnGalway
I always wonder why people live there with the year after year wildfires, decendants of Sisyphus maybe? Then there's the earthquakes
