Guest JohnGalway
Samsung L830. I had it in the side pocket of my work trousers doing a little plinking. Forgot to take it out and it activated in my pocket. Heard a not so good sounding noise and now the Lens seems to be % or so deployed, or trying to go back in I am not sure which. It won't turn on. I've got it recharging at the moment. Suggestions?

higgins 75
could be some grit stopping cover from closing, try blasting some air to shift it.

"Rubber" is for "TARMAC" As for the camera, "Insurance Job" springs to mind! Edited November 12, 2008 by artic
Guest JohnGalway
It's working again I gave the lens a good tug outwards and heard a lovely whirring sound It seems to be working fine again Thanks for the replies If it's gone up in value since I bought it (yeah right) the insurance job could be still on
mackem 30,350
Artic,it was only maybe a hundred quid,a cheap throwaway in case you pulled us one night As for my swimming lesson, well, never wade without knowing the depth of your water, especially at night
MikeTheDog 153
John, when you pocket your camera make sure it's in a dust proof bag. The grit and dust in your pocket WILL get into the camera and jam the zoom.
Guest JohnGalway
I'll have a look for one of those Mike. I bought a case for it, as I take it foxing, but the bloody thing was noisier than I am so it's sitting in the shed, possibly growing mould.
MikeTheDog 153
I bought a small zip-up bag from the local market for a couple of quid. Bit different with my new set up, I now use a pillow case and it doesn't fit in my pocket..
