Hard Mouth?

If lurchers and Longdogs were used on fox Pre ban then do you think this made them hard mouthed on other quarry (rabbit and hare) e.g. ? I'v been told this is the case and just wanted some opinions. Thanks, Sambo

Not really, its down to each dog.? I have had dogs, that would kill foxes, and be soft mouth with rabbits. Some dogs can get hard mouth, if they do alot of hares. They will kill the hare to stop it struggle, and it can make them hard on rabbits. As i said it comes down to each dog

I AGREE IVE GOT A BU;; CROSS AND THAT HAS KILLED FOX AND IS A VERY HARD DOG BUT NOT THAT HARD WITH RABBITS

i got told the other day that i shouldnt run my dog on munties as it will make hard mouthed but its a load of bull if you ask me

I have a BullX that nack's fox, and when he retrieve's a rabbit it could be released as he is that soft mouthed with them, as for hare's i think the dog gets' exited by the noise they make and put the bite on.
