ferret question?

hi i just seen a mate and hes baught 2 new ferrets and they was both born with no tales at all and the back end hangs low i was told to see if any one on here knows why or if they've had it thanks

The inbred line sounds right, but would'nt say thats the end of them. anything is possible with the critters, they may turn out to be good workers! (Just don't let billy bob near his own mother again!)

If their back ends are hanging low then they have serious problems imo, your mate should do the right thing and pts imo.

Give them a chance, there here now, just don't breed them into anything else.

If then seem to go on fine then let them live, but if they are in any pain it's better to give them rest.

sometimes the mother bites some of the tail of the pups when she gives birth bacause she tries to helt them out, but In your case I think the others are right, I would keep a real close eye on that line and don't breed with those pups, no matter how good workers they migt turn out to be its' not ok to breed on deformed ferrets!
