bsa lightning XL

thinking of getting myself a new spring air rifle and was looking maybe at the bsa lightning, but wondered what you folks' thoughts were on the bsa lightning XL?? any good? cheers, Russ

i had the bsa lighting, very nice gun in my opinion.. was grand for me .. every gun i've had as been bsa .. i have the bsa superten now

same price, better built, better trigger, as light and just miles ahead of the lightning.

lightnings are over rated in my view, they kick like mules and just aint as good as the german guns

The Bsa tactical is shite, wouldnt throw it at quarry let alone shoot it, kicks like a mule and doesnt retain zero well overall a shite gun.. Wouldnt touch another get an air arms or a HW

ha ha what ever BSA lightning's are one of the best spring guns around, i have got one and there good! can not moan on the price side too, don't get HW or anything like that stick to BSA.

BSA tactical are poo, the other models are great dont get me wrong, i Love the supersport carbine it was my first rifle and amazing at that but the tactical was a was of money get a lightning or supersport

not a lot,

stock and 2 stage trigger,

id personaly go for the standard lightning and gas ram it due to being able to change the silencer.

i think some people may of used a dodgey lightning "which you can get bad batch's of any make of rifle.

 

to say there pure poo is just wrong as they aint.

kick hard yes 177 does a little but not as bad as hws and tx200s.

i guess peeps have used a dodgy one or one that needs a good service.

 

recomend you get a lightning and gas ram it,the xls silencer is rubbish and virually un removable and if you do remove youd need to get it screw cut,for this reason i recommend the standard lightning but if you dont mind the xls silencer then a xl tactical gas rammed is what id have and id have it over any hw or air arms.

 

id got for the tactical if i could get a hw silencer on it tbh but thats adding more money.

keep it till the spring wears "which all springs do" then gas ram it,you wont regret it.

 

ive used many many rifles and the rifles in question so im talking from experience not what my mate said or what ive read on the net!
