Stevie D 9
Sound advice Kisko, I've been coming to the same conclusion over the past week, you get a lot of car with the Jeep, only thing is they're a wee bit dearer in Scotland, much more to choose from further south. I should get a '56 if I look hard enough up here. My ultimate choice would have been the Rangey but I've spoken to so many lads who've had them and all have said don't do it. Stevie i had a jeep cherokee 2.8 crd 2006, bought from main dealer with 1500 miles on it 2 months old, i had it for 9 months it was in the garage for 4 of those months, blown turbo, new engine, new seal, etc etc you name it, it had it! Never again, spend a bit more and get something reliable!! Maybe i was unlucky? What aout a newer defender if you already have a car? remember there are huge deals for 4x4,s right now, wait until the end of a month before buying as often garages will be keener to sell to reach tagets etc and each high end 4x4 will loose around £3-500 a month on a garage forecourt
