Brimmer 220
Out today as every weekend, old Brimmer seems to have a new lease of life with these young dogs, and has been pestering me all week to try and get a day off! All started out well, the longnet placed in an awkward spot, but covered 4 warrens in 1 stretch. We had 24 bunnies by 11 oclock then disaster struck! Yes it reads 7ft! After half an hour, it had moved 2ft across, with 1 or 2 more kills. Only one thing for it! Only one of this years ferrets as well, he was well and truly trapped! Got to the quiet knocking sound on the locater (thank god and finally broke through!) Pulled out a well wedged and stiff rabbit blocking the tube and out he came, no cares in the world! Pulled another 3 out of the tube, all stiff it had taken me that long to get there, sure he would have croaked it down there due to the lack of air. Hole filled in! Not win any gardening awards, but at least something like straight! In the end we got 49, probs a lot more if i hadn't got us into trouble, 16 yrs on the same bit of land, and never found one warren so deep, (its filled in now though, so never again!)
