If we assume it is the same ammo and a reputable manufacturer then the answer SHOULD be NO. Obviously, if you change ammo the answer is yes, but if you are hunting, a couple of shots to check is always a good idea anyway!!

As deker says above, but we try to have a zeroing session maybe every fortnight or the day before we go out just to make sure everything is on zero

Yes I would agree with the above, BUT I always check zero eveery outing just in case. I also check the batch number on the box, and every batch that is differant gets a zero check.

I check the Zero on my HMR after the last shot of the session.

 

E.G. If I'm going out and shooting say Crows, I know that it will be shooting well enough, but after I've shot a few and before I go home, I put up a target and fire a five shot group, just to see where it's shooting exactly.

I'm too f****** tired or cold or wet or the batteries are dead when I go home...any doubts I check at the start of the next outing!!

I do try and make sure that I do it in daylight

 

Tried paper punching on the lamp quite recently and.............................................. results!

 

If I was out lamping, I would be in the same boat, bed would be calling too loudly by then!

Out with Mr L last night and he was having a little grief with the .223....we were that close to checking his zero late on with the lamp...but after we supplied the cowboys (yep... really) at the local camp with loads of rabbits (they were going to have them for breakfast :sick: :sick:)]...it's a long story........ his batteries died.........and the kebabs were calling!!!

Hate that when the rifle goes wrong and you just cant figure out why, and you get in such a tizz that it doesn't make any sense!

Change of scope, eye relief and zero..so not much really!!!

I usually check it when i buy 500 bullets as i travel 40 mile for some lamping and its a long way to go if the rifles off
