OUT TODAY,FOR MORE TRAINING...

Recommended Posts

Decided to take advantage of the good, cold weather were having at the moment.I took my other adult poley jill(Jet),little jill(Ruby)& the big man(Potch) his first training sesh.I arrived at the top quarry 9am'ish greeted to a fresh Northerly breeze & blazing sunshine.I decided to start off at a trio of small burrows(3-5holers) at the west side of the quarry bank,on my approach to the first set i could see a rabbit sitting outside the hole as i got closer it thought about going to ground but did a runner  .

I netted up two sets & returned to collar the ferts up,after 10 mins or so i entered Ruby into the first set,she went flying into the hole a few mins later, one in the net :clapper: after she had finished i put the hob in so he could get used to the nets & general feel of a burrow. We then moved on to a small 4 hole set i put Potch in,i watched him inch his way in & few seconds later, thud, thud & 1 in the net :good:

As i was walking round to the quarry bottom i saw a rabbit go down a 3 holer, netted it up & netted a 5 holer up in the quarry bottom by the time i got back to the 3 holer things had settled.I put Ruby in,instantly 1 in the net with her flying out after it.In the 5 holer no one was home but i gave the 2 kits a good run through it.

On our way round to the far corner of the quarry i noticed a rabbit run into a set on the quarry wall, feeling adventorous i netted it,some 15 plus holes. As i was netting up i heard a rabbit thudding around close to me,to my right the net bulged :o i had bagged one meself :clapper:

I put the adult jill in after 10 mins & bagged one more from the above set :clapper:
