jazz_11 5
Well me and Scuzy (Luke) were out today on my new permission, its a nice piece of permission but because its close to the sea there are small Cannal type things seperating the different fields which is annoying but not to bad. anyway before we even got going and set my scope properly we already bagged a few feral pidgeon and a collor dove which flew and died into the canal lol... so it was a good start needless to say. we then jumped over the fence and luke had another collor dove which flew and died again into the canal which we couldnt reach. so by the time i got round to setting my sites we already had 4 birds but only had one which we could feed the ferrets with because all of them flew and died or landed in the canal lol.. so my sites were now set and we see a another feral on the barn so lay down had a shot. bang in his chest. But he is still standing and dont think he moved. so Luke was quick at hand to finish the job off and we bagged another. so a really good day already and we hadnt been going any longer than half hour lol.. well from here it went down hill. i Missed a shot on a starling. we then went all around the permission looking for birds and rabbits. No rabbits were home and then we were on our way back as it was getting dark. Luke sets up because there is a Jackdaw in the tree as he is about to take the shot my F***** phone goes off and mr jackdaw flies away..... DAMN!!! oh well we went back and had a bite to eat and drink then set off for the lamp. well my scope mounted was flat so that was out,. so it was lukes Logun scope mounted and his big lamp. well we set off and in the first field we see a rabbit... Result..!!!! we slowly jjump over the fence turn the lamp back on no more rabbit. Jump back over the fence and hed for the next field oh well good sign.. I have heard from several people that this area of town doesnt get many rabbits there as it is more of a clay ground but we seen one... We then mobved on seeing another rabbit. I climb Under the fence and start crawling, looking like an Arse on my hands and knees. Trying to be as quiet as possible becaus I wanted a rabbit.. well i thought i had crawled about 35 metres looked back and i was like 15 yards away from the fence... Oh for Fcuk sake !!!! Luke turns lamp back on and no more rabbit. DAMN!!! We then headed to the very top of the permission turned the lamp on and we spot a big rabbit which then squatted and we couldnt see it oh well we moved on to the end.. Turn around and walked back to the field where we saw that big rabbit. and the thing ran from the one filed across a log over the canal and infront of us on the road and then back into the other field.... CHEEKY SOD!!! so we then head to the very top of the permisison and again no more bunnies so from now on this farm is for birds only... we could have prob had some rabbit had we had a .22 rimfire or a fac air rifle. but thats all part of the fun and challenge.. needless to say a good day and it was nice to return the favour to Luke who has tought me loads.. sorry guys no pics... cheers jazz Quote Link to post
