FOXING ON THE STUBBLES

Recommended Posts

Last night saw me and David out foxing again with Peg @ Gun :clapper: It wasnt long before we spied the 1st charlie out in the middle of a stubble. Peg pulled the motor round and David was over the bonnet...." I cant make it out " said David " Just get it shot " was Pegs reply.

David launched a 58gr v-max and you could here a positive hit .....................we drove over and a nice dog fox was laid there , David said it was curled up in some straw when he shot it :clapper:

The happy couple............

We then lamped quite a bit more ground but tonight was very quiet , very still and still a 3/4 moon so there wasnt much showing.

We then moved over to a small place that Peg snares a lot of foxes on......................on driving up a track I spotted a fox in amongst some sheep . Peg took the rifle this time , on switching the lamp back on this fox was on the move so I gave it a shout to stop it. Just as it started walking away Peg knocked it over at 130 paces out of the window of the motor, this time a small vixen.
