provarmint 25
Hi folks, Just wondering if any of ye are getting work done on yer rifles or shotguns? If ye can can ye tell us what yer getting done and the reason behind it I'm planning on getting between 5"-6" taken off my .223's 26" barrel. It'll get screw cut for a moderator, most likely a Jet Z Compact, and a nice re-crown job at the same time. Should end up an easier to handle quieter rifle and maybe more accurate in the end of it as well. My .22lr just needs it's bolt sorting and a little length added to the stock then it'll be just as I want it ATB, John Hoping to cut down the barrel on my Finnfire varmint to 18in, recrown and screw cut (easier handling), and get my Sako 75 ss/varmint screw cut and get AU S5 moderator, as soon as funds are available. woz 260
put a juel trigger in my remmy 700 vssf 22-250 today..my hands are battered up quite badly and i have no feeling in my fingers so i feel the trigger pull from the back of my hand..the standard remmy trigger gives to much creep so iv changed it and its brought my groups considerably tighter...... spent a few hours playing with the rifle..have been shooting five pence piece's at 200 yards with out any problems at all,the trigger is brilliant...we went out yesterday night with the rifle and lamp.shot quite a few shots and missed alot more than i was hitting..couldnt understand what was going on???? have just come in tonight and my shooting buddy pointed out the the swivel adjuster was to loose on the bi pod..tightened it up so its hard to move and its shooting bang on again....its always the most obvious things that i tend to miss when looking for problems Quote Link to post
macberran 2
Have too cut down my 308 Remmy police as its just a wee bit front heavy and L O N G, will have it screw cut as well, anyone else done this..any advice. It shoots fine and don't want too effect this, its just a bit lumpy. my Howa243 shoots ace out off the box broken in and then all groups in a 50p superb though the stock is a bit short and "wimpish" I know off Hogue but has anyone had success with other suppliers. The Jagdmatch 222 is a lovely rifle absolutely fine just need a good scope for it. And the Brno WMR could do with a few inches off it too. Christmas is starting too growl and with four nippers I fear all will not get done, though at the end off the day I can live with them as they are its just things I fancy getting done especially the Remmy.
