showtime 73 0 Posted October 14, 2008 Report Share Posted October 14, 2008 hi guys can you help,my friend and i went on our shoot last night for the first time. my friend managed to bag his first bunny we both was using a yukon nv as a spotter then lamp but when it came to working out the distance we found it very hard. how do you guys work out the distance? It is much harder at night..even when you know your land well, it always seems further away...I don't know any clever secrets....except practice!! Quote Link to post

I use a laser set at 30 yards and my milldot scope once you've learn't the range of each dot on your milldot, then when you use the laser it will put the dot on the corresponding milldot in your reticle thus you can judge your range...
