Which Lamp?

Hi all,

 

I usually hunt during the mornings/evenings when its light, but i want to have a go at hunting during the night. So it's either nightvision and spending over £500

 

Or....

 

Buying a lamp, preferably gun mounted because i usually go alone. Which lamp do you find best for around £100?

Lightforce , depending what gun it's going on either the 140 or 170.

If you are looking for the whole kit..lamp, battery pack, charger etc then you are in the area of the Deben Mini/Max Pro...make sure you get a dimmer switch control....you will not a get a lightforce with all the kit for £100!!

Aldi are selling nightvision at the moment for £90 and its excellent value for money

Ok, for that range from the Lightforce range of lamps you certainly won't need anything bigger than a scope mounted Lance 140 It may even be too big, but I own and use one, best beam out there. The wiring and connections need to be redone, unless they've improved them lately but it's part of owning a Lightforce.

for around the 100 quid you could get a cluson cb2 with battery pack and charger, more than enough light for .22 and you can buy a gun mount for them or make one easily enough with an old scope mount.
