riggers 2
hi all can any one tell me what 20 grns are like for .17hmr Quote Link to post
lgray88 4
thats all i ever use in my hmr , havent really done a test on 20's compared to 17's i do reckon on more windier night they have the edge over 17 grains you dont have to correct quite so far against the wind , well thats what ive noticed. and as far as there trjectory goes seem to be on the crosshairs wether its 30 yards or 130 yards i see very little diffrence , i think its about jsut shy of 200fps slower than a 17 grainers thats just a rough guess i cant remember for sure, and up here there a little cheaper so thats a pluc not sure what there like around your way. liam Quote Link to post
woz 260
iv got a cz452 american that iv chopped down to 16" and my rifle hates them....on v max or v shock it will do 1/4 inch groups at 100 yards on the cci 20g it does 4" groups.....its a shame i would of liked to use a heavier bullet Quote Link to post
lgray88 4
what about other 20 grain ammunition all we get up here at our dealer is winchester do you see much diffrence between other manufacturer,i cant get my groups as tight at 1/4 of inch, sub inch maybe had a few flyers that have gone 3 inches out , i was thinking of getting my gun chopped to 16" but now youve said that its put me off a little. Mr_Logic 5
I just started using the CCI 20gr. My Quad prefers them. Shot a couple of rabbits, both body shots. Neither looked shot when I got there, but both had gone down cleanly. One had a small exit hole, the other I couldn't find at all. Quote Link to post
