gun fit?

im just wondering how much of the rib should you be able to see when the shotgun is in your shoulder?

ive been shooting with my mates berreta and i cant see alot of the rib when im shooting, does this mean im missing the birds underneath or over the top?

In essence you should be looking down the whole rib.

 

Which bit of the rib can't you see???

 

If you can only see the end of the barrel you are shooting too high!

best way to check for alignment is when you have gun mounted get a mate to look down barrel the top of rib should line up to middle of eye

pattern plates are good to see if you are shooting high or low mate

The idea being you get the butt higher and the barrel end goes down...and hopefully you will be able to see the whole rib and it will point where it should!

ya i agree with some but clayman has it right you should only see 3/4 of the barrel at the tip.... thinking of that most sporter shotguns shoot high

and if you still losted go get it fitt in a gun shop
