The Ferret 0
Most noticeably, her vulva will swell and a slight discharge may be visible. She will lick herself more regularly, as this will keep her clean. You may also notice a slight change in her moods, due to the hormones surging through her body. How old is she? Bitches generally have between one and two seasons a year, depending on the breed.

Stabs 3
My wheaten cross still hadn't her heat when she died at 15 months, yet my collie cross was 7 months on here first. Don't worry about it. It'll look like a wizards sleeve soon enough.

TOMO 28,539
flyns dead right my saluki cross didnt come in season till she was 2. also alot of greyhounds dont come in season till 2-3 years and some not untill they have finished there racing . all to do with hormones, and with some of the greyhounds being kept very fit and having low body fat, was told this by a trainer

Squirrel_Basher 17,102
Some bitches are meticulously clean and are hard to catch in season.Apart from the vulva swelling ,your daily checks should include running your hand down her back to see if her tail flicks to the side when you reach her hips .Bitches will have a bloody discharge for 3-4 days which turns a clear, mucus like as the season progresses. From the 10-13 day of heat the bitch will stand, hopefully.
