is the dog that caught 17/17 the dog you brought to mine before ? its a small dog ? wouldnt think it would have the stamina , but ive never seen it run , but if its taking 17/17 , i would like to , we went out with tristan other night , why dont we organise another night and you come mate , would like to see it run ,

WHATS PEOPLES PROBLEM WITH RUNING A FEW LAMPED HARES PRE BAN OF COARSE ,SOME PLACES ARE OVER RUN WITH THE BUGGERS AND SOUNDS LIKE HERE IS TO I SUPPOSE THEY CAN ALWAYS GET THE TOFFS IN WITH THERE GUNS AND PAY FOR A DAY TO LINE SHOOT FLUSHED HARES I CAN SEE THATS A LOT MORE SPORTING AND FUN, lurcher people used to stick together now its lampers against ferreters, rabbiters and coarsers, bull x fox lads slaggin lads who do deer of, etc etc what the f**k is happenin these forums are creating a bigger north south are dog world divide then ever,i think ive had enough now,mark

 

I totally agree with you Mark ...the lad was out working his dog UNLIKE most of the keyboard hunters we find on all these forums,jeez ..Well done and the dogs done great

cheers mate, every topic you read someone is slaggin of someone,ok a good winde up does put a bit of fun on the boards and of coarse i have been at both ends but its gettin bad now its not a winde up its peolpe purposly slaggin others actions of the lad went out and enjoyed him self ok its not a perfect thing to write about but its better then robbin a granny are sittin on here all night :laugh:you will find most people who critise him are coarsing people people who want them left for them to flush in the day and thats understandable but the hares dont belong to these lads and like i say would they prefare them to be shot by a bunch of toffs well not me anyway if i knew they were havin a hare shoot i would go out and lamp em all every bloody one of em anyway like i said iam sick of the bitching and iam gettin of these sitesand good luck to all who get out there and do a bit and the ones who critise and stay on the keyboard all the time mark

 

i quiet agree with you mate, i think there's pretty fair of arm chair warrior's on these forums! i've only got to post about taking my bedlington lamping and i get slated for it, its a f**king joke! and i carnt believe how abusive some folk get on this site, i think the mods should tighten up on these individuals!

I'd love to go out with these armchair warriors i'd walk the fecking legs off them and there hounds

well 16 feckin pages if the mans dog caught 17 hares on a lamp,if he did well done if he didnt you kept a lot of people tappin on there keyboards wantin to become a real life internet hunter,to a jack russel catchin hares on the lamp anything is possible but please dont insult peoples inteligence by describing lamped hares as that easy,anyway micky lets see a pic of this dog i for one would like to see it mate,mark

Its definately not an argument I'm after but just by having an oppinion finds one, any way here goes!! My experience hares are definately easier to catch in the lamp than through the day. Mickyrich will be the first to admit that his dog that caught 17 on the lamp is not going to catch 17 through the day. On the fens and big land a hare as a good chance of running out the beam and leaving its pursuer with nothing but a lolling tongue. Where I live and simular type of land is dotted with; stock fences, hedges, dry stone walls and cover of some discripition!! A good lamp dog or bitch will take advantage of these situations evey time, if the lamp dog has anything about it, it will force or even wait for old puss to slow a little in order to find and get through its run and this is where the dog should end matters. Of course some hares make good their escape and get better at it the more times they are run!! Over the last ten, fifteen years my dogs could never be called lamp dogs, I dont do enough lamping nowadays. They also couldnt be called hare dogs but they all have killed three hares on the lamp and I would never have put my pocket money on them doing the same through the day, not nearlly as regular anyway. Fiz my Malinois bitch has had em on the lamp on the edge of fields, at fences or cover and believe me she cant get a sniff on the same land through the day; theyer gone!! Just my oppinion because of my experience. My some of your rabbits have long ears. Regards Warren

feck me 14 pages jesus. well we have all seen the odd hare run up the beam, i have also seen rabbits do the same.

 

i love the replys from the none belevers, "oh hares are easy on the lamp" f**k off. there the ones that claim its easy to get a large bag of hares, but have never done it

 

then dare to ask them to prove its easy. and there reply is always the same, i dont have to prove nothing

but they still think its easy to catch large bags of hares.

 

so i say to all the big mouths, just once, only once, get out there and do it. you will then be able to back up your mouths and for once be able to walk the walk.

 

doing it just one time is not going to afect the hare population to a great dagree. and you will still be killing far less than a hare shoot.

 

looking farward to the next new moon , and all the lamped hare posts on this forum TOMO

 

 

TOMO,this post of yours i'm awaiting the replys in anticipation ,it'll be the usual drivel "it's slaughter,there too easy,it's cruel",if i knew no different i would say they are all members of the Animal Liberation Front or whatever the feck they are called .Well i'm with you Tomo on this lets see the gobshite's/non believers/whingers get out there and have a go,no ones saying they have to match or better the feat of Micky's dog just get out with their juckel and dazzler and have a go for themselves and come back on here and let us ALL know how easy/hard such a feat is? PROBLEM IS JOE ,NOT MANY PEOPLE ARE FIMILIER WITH LURCHERS THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO BRING THEM ON THEY DONT KNOW WHAT IS AND ISNT THE CAPIBILITIES OF THESE DOGS IN THE RIGHT HANDS, AND I MEAN RIGHT HANDS,A PERSON WHO LAMPS ALOT 17 HARES ISNT A MASSIVE TASK ARE IS 70 RABBITS ITS A BLOODY GOOD HAUL BUT VERY CAPABLE,USELY THE CANT DOERS AND DISBELEAVERS ARE THE PEOPLE WHO DONT KNOW ABOUT LURCHERS,WE ALL CAN GO OUT THERE AND BUY A DOG OUT OF GOOD BREEDING RUN IT ON EASY FEN HARES ITS NOT THAT HERE WERE ON ABOUT,ITS THE LADS WHO BREED THERE DOGS BRING EM ON AND WORK EM ANY WERE ANY TIME AND HARDLY EVER SEE A VET THERE THE MEN/WOMEN WHO FIND THIS THREAD QUITE BELEAVING AND JUST CONGRATULATE MICKY FOR HIS HAUL,but then there is the question of should things like this be talked about and shown over the world wide web well i think we should not let these knobs in parliament take away our lifes and ruin what SOME have always done but hey thats another topic,mark

how many of us went out last nite .........and how many stayed in arguing the toss on the internet ...... i've said my fair share on this topic and i've taken a bit of stick to . so just to prove a point that i'm no armchair hunter here is last nites bag . i went out with my young pup first (local) and caught nothing . so i took him home and went back out with the old dog . nothing speicial just a bull x grey . 9 years old .... i drove about 10 miles each way lamped a few fields and was back home in about 3 hours . the above figures are esstimates i did not time myself . any hares caught were shot and retrieved .
