jamie g 17
got my 1st fox with my 22/250 last night. it was on a cut barley field the fox was 177 yards according to the rangefinder. the 55grain federal softpoint slammed home and down the fox went. i had to be quick but sure on the shot as the fox wasnt in the mood to hang about. i caught him abit further back along the body then i would have liked but he did die instant here is a picture its abit of a mess ! jamie g 17
Very interesting Jamie,as I have a space on my ticket for a .22/250,and,I am saving hard...........Martin. the stealths are hard to find now mate. if you do most are secondhand. i got mine new so i was lucky. the h&s stock on it is soild and has the alloy bedding block in it. ive got to have a bit tokk out to fit the jewell trigger. i got it from the usa for £120 brand new inc post. thats a big saving to the rip off prices here. i go on the forums in the usa a fair bit and if you want a tackdriver mate the savage 22/250 is the one to get and the prices here are not bad. a guy on the bbs just sold one as he had a custom 243 built and his 22/250 savage was getting consistant 1/4 to 1/2 inch groups with cheap factory privi ammo ! SportingShooter 0
Excellent shooting there Jamie. I bet you were grinning like the proverbial cat after that shot. And you're absolutely right, very Rarely do they go anywhere with those tackdrivers. Nice Work Pal. Regards SS Quote Link to post
