Tallyho 181
Right where do i start, about a week ago my stepson and my little brother when shooting on some of our local permission, any way to cut the story short, some one saw them go into the field with there bikes they then followed them two fields and pinched my stepsons bike from out of a field that has signs saying private, so any way the other day the gate had been opened so we closed it , then tonight it was opened again, so my partner had a drive round the fields and noticed a bike pushed up against one of the hedges ( not the bike we were looking for) so he carried on going down the field and the bottom of the field leads on to a small copice, so he got out just to have a look to see if the bike was in there and caught somthing out the corner of his eye, so in he goes to find 3 teenage kids, they are all from scabby useless families, so any way he then notices a dog tied up to a tree, all the kids say it was dumped by someone from the next county, you could tell they knew more than they were letting on , he was told this dog was a nasty one, it looks like a staff or masstive cross , he has had his ears croped and fairly old i would say, theses kids say they have rang the rspca so my partner gives his number to the kids, the next minit this RSPCA bloke is on the phone saying he cant come to get the dog tonight, as he is in redditch which aint that far really from us, he tells my partner that if the dog is aggressive just to leave him tied to the tree over night , now this poor bloody dog was tied on a very short lead with no shelter, the RSPCA were quite happy to leave this dog . luckly my partner has some kennels up the farm , so we went back to get this dog, he showed a tiny bit of aggression, when we first got to him , then settled when i threw him a bit of food. i sat with him in the back of the discovery, and he was lovey, stunk to high heaven, and i think he had a bit of mange. so we got him settled in the kennels and on the way back saw a animal ambulance drive past, which has something to do with the local dog pound, so we drove behind her flashing the lights trying to get her to pull over so we could say about the dog, and the silly cow wouldnt pull over, we even over took her and i sat in the back pointing for her to pull over, she stuck her nose in the air and drove off, now what gets me is the fact it could of been a real emergencie and she didnt want to even know, so tomorrow the dog shelter and the RSPCA are gona get one shitty complaint email, the RSPCA have proved they are a wastes of space, i wounder if they might have come if i told them there was gona be a film crew there !!! ile try and take some pics of the dog tomorrow and put them up of the poor old f****r. im so bloody angry with both the RSPCA and the animal shelter, they dont give two fucks about animal welfare. will write again to say what happens. sorry if i have board any one . BlueCoyote 0
not disagreeing with you at all but if this was a lone female and there were two men in your car..... i dont think i would have pulled over either lol maybe next time, if there is a similar situation, just follow her till she stops. in her mind there might be dog with you, or you might be up to no good and she's in no position to risk her life over a stray. speedlamper 0
i'd ring them back in the morning, tell them the dogs dead, looks like its had a fit and strangled itself on its the rope that they had "advised" you left it tied up with, tell them you'll take care of the burial seeing as they didnt give 2 hoots what happened to it when it was alive so why would they when its dead, make the b*****ds feel really guilty, if your mate will look after it for a month or 2 till you can rehome yourself great, get that agression out and let it spend its last days with a decent family instead of rotting away in a 2x2 cell at guantanamo dogs home

I don't know BC, that would be a weak arguement if you ask me. If she's in an ambulance she'll have a radio and can easily make it obvious that she's on to whoever is at the other end before she stops to see if she can help. I was walking with my two last winter, alone at night, when a white van pulled up and two folks hailed me to stop and help them. I admit I was a bit edgy but I stopped - they had a dog on the floor of the cab in real distress and were desparate to find a local vet who would help. The poor dog had eaten something as was as near to dead as it could get. When I leaned into the van to look at the dog I noticed a lot of things that could've been used to knock me out and pinch my dogs - but the dog in the van needed help and I didn't really stop to think about it. The woman was on the verge of tears and her fella was very upset. I knew they were travellers by their voices and the fact that they were very vague about where they lived. I had a quick once over of the dog - pale, cold gums, thready pulse, shallow breathing - and directed them to the nearest vet. I wished them luck but told them they didn't have much hope. They were really grateful to me, and I was glad I could help in some small way. If I were in the business of helping animals I would've stopped that ambulance and done what I could. I would've driven a lot further than half an hour to untie a dog from a tree too. The RSPCA can really be a right bunch of knobs. Get some pics up of him Tally. I hope you can help him. Guest SJM
I kinda agree with BlueCoyote, if I was driving alone and someone came up behind me flashing their lights, pointing, waving etc, I would be inclined to think what the hell do those arseholes want?? and drive off as quick as I could. Its a dangerous world out there if your a woman on your own, cant say I blame her, your own life has to come before that of anyone else, or any animal JMHO
