hughesey1552 0
hi, i was out on my permission tonight, trying a few decoys but to no avail, (think it was a bit late in the day for the pigeons). Anyway i decided to have a mooch to see if i could get a squirell or maybe a bunny. So, im mooching about, see a few squirells but there on the move and there is still to many leaves on the trees to chase them. A while later, while following a row of trees a saw waht i think was a hare (long ears, poited up, lot bigger than a rabbit??) but the farmer had directy told me not to shoot the hares, which was lucky for the hair because t was well within range for a headshot. I preceded to mooch along and saw another hare run by into some bushes. Anyway im not gunna talk you through everything lol, as i was walking back to pick up ma decoys which i stashed ina bush i was trying to avoid the massive pools of mud and saw this strange sight...... (sorry for the bad pic) I think these were baby Hares but they were just in the middle of a field huddling up, but i thought they would be in a burrow like rabbits? Anyway they wre tiny as you can see compared to a car key. They didnt run off or anything and i couldve touched them but didnt kust incase their mother would abandon them if she smelt me on em. Anyway i left be gunbag next to them so i could find em after i got a decoys back. On the way back to ma car i picked up ma gunbag and they were still there... It looks like one of them had vampire tendancys lol. Oh, well, just thought id share my findings lol Ryan Quote Link to post

Grim Reaper 1
I think a Leveret is the term for a baby hare? Not too sure, but someone will correct me if i'm wrong? Regards, Grim. Edited August 23, 2008 by Grim Reaper Quote Link to post
ferretville 69
Young hares mate they don`t have litters like rabbits just 1 or 2 and stay with the mother for long time unlike rabbits . Good pic mate the car key really emphasizes the size . Quote Link to post
