Guest ferretlad
When my Terrier was about 12 week's he went through a stage of eating his own crap, and my vet gave me a black powder to put in his food and this stoped him doing it straight away, cant remember what the powder was called tho, and it was only a few quid. My vet mentioned it was a vitamin deficiency that caused him to do this, and also in some dog's its boredome.
