Fidgety 8
Had the same with win subs on cz452, switched to another brand, fine, switched back, not ejecting. Clean barrel and reciever, ok for about 5 shots. Gunshop suspects extractor claw, i suspect the heavy wax on the wins.....but i'm not a gunsmith. What mod is that Arcpest? Is it quiet? Guest JohnGalway
It's tight chamber tolerances in the rifle itself Mine used not eject all shot cases at first, then moved on of it's own accord to not ejecting some live unfired rounds. However, at this point it seems to be ejecting Eley subs just fine, the very odd time one will stick. The solution is either pry it out (say with a small allen key)or fire it into a safe backstop. I know of one lad who has sent his rifle back to get the chamber extended slightly. Personally, for the price of .22subs I'll shoot any sticky round into a safe bank Try Eley subs, they group best in my quad. Quote Link to post

Fidgety 8
That said, fired thirty win subs tonight, no problem at all!! WAX! (new batch) Edited August 14, 2008 by Fidgety Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
If you try different brands, chamber them, and eject them. Examine the soft lead bullet heads on the ones that stick, you'll see tracks from the start of the rifling. I keep far away from CCI subs, to chamber them I am genuinely afraid I'll snap the handle on the bolt. Quote Link to post

Just loaded 5 rounds and it wont eject live rounds but they are easy to get out with a finger nail so not to worried about it looked at the heads and there is barely a mark on them arcpest Quote Link to post

Country Life 0
Hi I have tried Remington Subs had no trouble at all with the 10/22 ok maybe 1 or 2 out of 500. Had to try CCI (Remy out of stock) can’t wait to get rid of them absolute RUBBISH in the 10/22, aint it just when you need that mustard shot, and what happens ...a miss fire...bummer..It was that tight I had to use the point of my knife to get it out.. Never again. I guess it’s up to the gun, each has its own preference. Looking to get a CZ bolt action( better accuracy) in the near future. Happy Hunting, Quote Link to post
arcpest 6
Bought some ELEY subs yesterday and went down the range i had eleys, winchester, remington subs and some american eagle hollow points the eleys were the more accurate with winchester in 2nd place and although the american eagle were quiet accurate they were 2 inches high at 50m after about 300 rounds the gun seems to have settled abit because towards the end none of the winchesters were sticking it was ejecting every thing so im assuming it was just because it was new. as for ammo although the eleys are more money i think thne extra is worth it so i will be sticking with them from now on arcpest Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
When I tried Winchester, I found they shot to the same point of impact as the Eley subs but that their groups were a little more open than the Eleys Never seen Remmy subs I don't think and my rifle definately don't like AE Quote Link to post
